Reducing reflection from window?

Glen S. has asked me a question I can't easily answer.

He says: "In our master bath, the tub looks out of a large window. We have a shade that allows us to see out but does not allow anyone to see in. The problem is that 4 birds have flown into the window and died upon impact. Do you have any creative ways to keep the birds from flying into the window?"

I know there are anti-reflective films and I guess he could tack some twiggy branches to the outer window frame to break up the mirror effect.

Do you have different advice?

I bought window alert @windowalert.com and anti collision decals from www.wpines.com. Both products work.

I have a patio with large windows and birds stopped hitting them when I put the decals on the window. They only require water to adhere and can be removed without any residue remaining. They look nice, too
