How to Update a Classic With Chalk Paint® by Annie Sloan

I picked up this Duncan Phyfe dining set to paint several months ago and decided to go for a classic look when I painted it. This Duncan Phyfe style is such an old classic that I didn't want to stray too much with the paint job. I gave the table a clean, timeless look with Country Grey paint and then added thick stripes in Old White to give it a bit of a modern touch. The chairs were painted in Old White to tie in to the table. I kept my brush strokes smooth and lightly sanded between coats to keep the look crisp and clean!

    Very pretty. Love the stripe.

  • That's such a great combination of colours. Country Grey is one of those classic colours you can use anywhere. Love how you've transformed this set.
