Restoring an old China sink

I recently found a wonderful old dresser that had been repurposed into a vanity for a beauty shop. The sink is in great shape except it has been painted or something in pink and gold. I need to either strip it down to the original white or refinished it. Any one have any ideas how I can do this?
From the top some spots are worn off to the base white.
Detail of the sink, made in Italy and great shape just hate the pink and gold.

I actually think it's beautiful in the photograph. It's very feminine. Would you consider resale? There may be just the right person looking for something like this! I would check with some upscale retail shops and bathroom designers and see if they have a client who may be interested. Stripping it might mar the original finish and depending on what it is made of, it might not be an easy DIY .

Is there any info on the sink like manufacture so you could get in touch with them. If not you could try at a bathroom show room and ask them for advice.

What you have there is a vintage Sherle Wagner sink bowl imported from Italy. Several being sold on Ebay from $295 to $500. I would not do anything to it. I would try to sell it. Maybe a Designer would be interested in it. You could buy a lot of things that could be refurbished with that kind of money!

I also love it the way is already done. Sell, do not change it in anyway.
