    Are you removing all the mechanical guts ( condenser, etc.) and using it strictly just to put ice in or are you plugging it in and using electricity to keep it cold? If so, I always heard you couldn’t lay a refrigerator down on its side because of the condenser so how are you getting around that?

    This is a neat idea. I took an old refrigerator some years ago and had my husband put it in the Garden shed and that is where I store all the things that I want to keep clean or easily found. It has been really handy. We took to motor out, plugged the hole from the Ice Maker with Silicone caulk and use it as it is!
