I’ve been seeing these salvaged windows with botanical prints in them everywhere. The thing I love about them is that they’re old, they’re chippy, they’re imperfect. The Free printable’s I found have that vintage flare that make them look like they were torn from an old book. Read on to find out where I found my salvaged window & where to find these awesome vintage and free printables.
On mothers day we went hunting for some vintage windows. I’ve always wanted to visit this amazing store about a hour from our home called Demex. They sell antiques, salvaged goodies and newer builds. The yard is amazing and I was drooling.. Their site said their barn windows were 5.00 each. I had planned to buy an armload as I knew I could find a ton of places for them. But we got there and we couldn’t find anything under 60 dollars.. most of the windows ran over 125.00. Talk about a HUGE let down. Anyways, after searching & searching through the windows to find something under 75.00, we came across the window below. There was no price on it but other windows its size were over 150.00. I thought I would bring it to the counter to see how much it was. It was my lucky day! They charged us 60. I say lucky lightly as I went into the yard thinking I’d be paying 5.00… oh well, it makes GREAT art.
Here she is… so pretty hey? I decided to give it a GOOD sand down as it had about 4 thick layers of paint falling off in huge chunks. Not the best look. I left one side painted if I ever want to switch it up.
Once the paint was taken down I printed off my free printables. Guys. Check these out. They’re amazing.
Here’s a progress shot of the prints cut up and put on the windows. I used clear tape to stick them on. Just a little piece at the top. Again, you want imperfection. The more farmhousey the better.
We used these awesome hooks from the hardware store to hang our large & heavy window. Super easy to put on. 95% of the time I use those sticky tapes on the back of all my wall hangings, but I just kept imagining my window falling off the wall and shattering in a billion pieces.
and here’s how she looked hung & all pretty… I love it. It turned out better than imagined. Best yet, when I’m tired of the botanicals I can take them out and put something more trendy in!

Beautiful! I think it was an inset of a door. I had a door in an old house that had this panel with glass and another panel with screen to be switched out. Really liked that old door!

I saved my seed packets that i opened careful i am planning to do a window with them by my planting table i am making from a baby changing table
