Critters in patio pots

I have tomato plants in big patio pots, how do I keep the critters out of the pots on my patio?

I bought a roll of 4' wire fence from Home Depot and placed around mine. I stuck rebar in places in the fence for support and the set it on my concrete patio around my pots
