One of the most important things you can add to your home is whole house surge protection.

Surge protection on all electronics in your home like the oven, washer, dryer, furnace, and dishwasher is the smart choice. Small surges can take years off the life of your electronic components. I priced out the circuit board for my double oven and it was $800.00 and that's without the labor to replace it.

I agree. The storms in TX get bad and we had this added to our last house. Also, if an appliance is fried insurance may not replace it if your home didn't have surge protection. Something to ask your agent. We will have this done to this house.
