How to Save Ugly Wood Grain With Two Tone Stain - Antique Parlor Table

This table was brought to me by my customer with endless imperfections. It had been passed down for generations, starting with his great grandfather who originally owned it back in the late 1800s.
It came with a broken leg as well as areas that were separating and needing repairs.
Repairs were made all around the edges, and the top was sanded down to reveal a combo of gorgeous wood grain paired with hideous marks that were hiding under the previous dark stain.
To save the pretty grain I finished the top in a two tone stain and painted the body in a custom mixed light cocoa. You can see the full makeover on my blog at http://www.justthewoods.com/antique-parlor-table-makeover/
