DIY Farmhouse Kitchen Decor

Creative DIY pieces are so fun to create and so fun to show off. I created this special piece that will fit perfect into just about any kitchen, with a rustic feel and vintage style colors.
Step 1: First cut a piece from a Farmhouse Kitchen Canvas Fabric Panel to fit within the shadow box. Paint some of the images on the canvas piece. The art is screen printed on the panel making it perfect for water-based paints. Color a few of the art pieces or color them all in, you decide.
Step 2: Sand down the shadow box to give it more of an aged look. This is not mandatory, but sanding before and after you will achieve an aged look that is very appealing. Place the panel inside the shadow box.
Step 3: Cut a piece of chicken wire to fit inside the shadow box and staple it to hold the canvas and the wire in place.
Step 4: Paint some wooden spoons (you can find them at any mass retailer, and they are so inexpensive). Then randomly paint the chicken wire in places with the same paint. Drill some holes in the handle of the spoons and hang inside the shadow box with some small hooks.
