Emily (one of my favorite names, BTW) you can see that I am a girl of few words (not.) I enjoyed looking at the photos of you beautifully decorated home. I don't know whom you share it with, but I'm sure you had a lovely xmas morning. I didn't see your tree, other than the one on the mantle, which would certainly be enough, given that you appear to be working with smaller spaces. I appreciate what you've done with table settings. This is one of my own favorite things to do, though I always

seem to get too busy with the cooking, and call whatever grands are old enough to be trusted with china and crystal. (Then I have to redo the table anyway with a tablecloth (!) and the right silver, etc. One year they even used glasses ALL from different sets. Do you think they did that on purpose?) Anyway, thank you so much for sharing, and I hope my occassional left comment (less than oolala) doesn't offend. I have a compulsion to honesty.
Thanks everyone! I do have a tree, and I waited to put it up till after Thanksgiving, so the pictures are on facebook, and not on my computer, for somereason, lol. I plan on adding them, as well as my pictures of my bedroom after the holidays! I love bright happy colors, so don't be surprised with what my bedroom looks like now...! Also, I have just moved into a smaller apartment that I am still getting ready for pictures, but I will definately post those, too!
Emily - love the different table scapes you do for each season. I do the same thing - maybe THAT'S why!! LOL
Beautiful job - I love the Santa toilet lid cover. I've had to make concessions w/regard to that part of decorating/accessorizing. My significant other adamently dislikes those things - he says the seat won't stay up when bulky lid covers are used!! That's all I'm gonna say about that!! As

long as he leaves me alone with everything else I can live w/o a lid cover!!
I love the fact that you seemed to be into the "Spirit:" of Christmas and Thanksgiving. Haven't seen a table set for a tea party since my grandmother's. Thanks for bringing back that treasured memory!
@Debi M. Maybe in this particular conversation the word "accessorizing" would be more accurate - but "design" encompasses a lot of terriroty so it doesn't always pertain to room lay out. To design is to "plan and fashion artistically or skillfully"; To " accessorize is an article or set of articles that adds attractiveness"
While Emily probably did not actually design all her placemats, runners, shower curtain etc.

she did skillfully accessorize with them. Hope this makes sense and sorta clarifies the terminology!! It can get a little murky!!
