What can I do about my sink that separated from the countertop?

My bathroom vanity sink has separated from the granite countertop. Any suggestions on how to re-attach? Should I call a plumber or a granite installer?

I would contact whoever installed the undermount sink. It doesn't look like it was installed properly.

MN MOM is correct! The caulk is just a seal between the sink and countertop. There should have been mounting clips mounted to the underside of the countertop that hold the lip of the sink to the countertop. Here is an explanation. http://homeguides.sfgate.com/install-underthecounter-sinks-granite-49978.html

There should be clips underneath that hold up the sink. Crawl under the sink with a flashlight and see if they need adjusting. You should redo that before you actually adjust them so there's no leak into your cabinet.

The same thing happened in my double kitchen, which broke pipes, original builder gone. We added support copper pipes made into a rectangle shape, to hold up the edges and middle of the sink adding wood pieces to make it the correct height, using lots of caulk before pushing the slightly bent metal sink in place. Originally they did not use any clips, only caulk which failed when washing dishes. 15 years later and even the caulk does not need replacing.
