These scenes are pretty typical with a consumer driven population...we simply have too much stuff. I began a paring down process a few years ago. Our long term plans are to transition in to a much smaller space...that mean 1/2 of everything must go.

few accent pieces. My husband wants to know why we have all this furniture if we are taking it all away. I told him the less fuurniture we stage, the larger the rooms appear. They are large to begin with but making them look even larger will really help!

Hello Linda, while it is true to minimize the room's quantity of furniture, and personal affects, it is also important to keep enough in there to bring warmth, and give the potential buyer a better understanding of how much could fit in the room(s) if properly space planned. It is more often that a room looks bigger with furniture in it:)

Staging is key...after all wasn't there a TV show dedicated to it?...If I remember right it was "designed to sell". We cancelled of TV service over a year ago so I'm not sure it it is still running.
