Easy Throw Pillows From Re-purposed Fabric

2 Materials
This spring I got the pillow fever. All I have been thinking about are pretty throw pillows for our living room, especially indigo throw pillows!
One lucky day I scored a bunch of nice down feather throw pillows at a yard sale, woo hoo! However, the covers are totally not my style... So I decided to make envelope covers- super easy, only take 5 minutes for each pillow, and they are washable!
Here comes painter's drop cloth! I LOVE drop cloth, they look almost like linen, for a fraction of the cost!
And some indigo fabrics I dyed from a white bedding sheet! Click here for how to create these indigo dye patterns!
Indigo is such a soulful color with a long history in so many cultures. The image above is from a book called "Indigo: The Color That Changed The World". The title says it all!
Measure pillows and cut fabrics.
Sew it! Even a total clumsy beginner like me can do it!
A new pillow is born!
