Warm or cool down lights in kitchen

I'm choosing some down lights to go over our breakfast bar and am not sure whether to buy warm or cool lights. This is the light fixture. http://www.lemonbest.com/lemonbest-new-6w-9w-12w-15w-dimmable-cob-led-ceiling-recessed-fixture-down-light-bulb-lamp

I would choose the one that is the most soothing to you.

Cool lights tend to cast a sort of blueish tint. Warm lights more of a yellow tint. You may want to buy one of each , try them out and see which you like better. You cannot actually get a good representation of how they'll look in your home at the store because the light will affect how the colors in your home look. It's worth it to try out both lights before purchasing one kind :-)

Personally I am not a fan of the blue cool light effect. I prefer warm light as I feel it makes things appear more natural.

I like the warm ones as well. It would kind of depend on what kind of mood you are setting. To me, the blue is too stark...the yellow is more welcoming.

We are a manufacturer's repping company and sell a lot of LEDs. If you choose the cool one, it will not show a true effect of whatever it illuminates. Choose a 2700-8500 Kelvin temperature and you will be very happy with it! It is the truest representation of an incandescent, since they are no longer being sold because of heat/energy concerns. I hope this helps you!

I purchased LED lights because they are cool, and they last for years. I love the look of the lighting, but it is not as bright as traditional lighting. To me the light looks more like sunlight.

Anytime you are lighting an area where food will be, use warm white. Otherwise your chili will look green, and many foods will not look appetizing.

You can find LED Christmas lights at Home Depot but only during the holiday season. Start looking in October when seasonal displays start going up.

I generally choose the opposite of the surface the lights will illuminate. It's always looked great.

I have both warm and day light in my kitchen the warm is over the sink and cabinets/counters, the day light was installed as task over a row of overheads and the refer and wall oven, I'm going to replace the day light, think of those bright head lights, to all warm.

Definitely use warm. The food looks better. People sitting under the light look better too.

I agree with Patricia - have yet to walk into a restaurant that uses cold lighting...
