This is how you preserve your leftover wine from parties, and new possibilities arise!!
I'm a coctail-girl, but I serve wine to my guests, but since they are way too polite, and leave open containers when they leave, I'm stuck with wine I would normally pour out... But: I do use wine when cooking, e.g. when I make mussels, so this trick lets me make it without opening another bottle !
I use these ice-cube bags, but you could use an ice-cube tray as well.
Simply pour the leftover wine into the bags...
...and put them into your freezer... Now I can take as many as I need for my cooking, or I can use them to chill wine in the future when serving guests outside in the sun... Am I borderline genious?!? Well, I'd like to think so... ;-)
Suggested materials:
  • Leftover wine
  • Ice-cube bags/trays
