Remover stickers from glass?

Question

Dear Hometalkers, I just got some beautiful, little glass bowls for dips and appetizers. But guess what? I can't get the stickers off! Any advice? Thanks :)

If soaking in water or oil doesn't work, try Goo-Gone.

Soak off as much paper as possible. Then I use a razor blade to scrape off wherever I can. Then apply WD40 and let sit a while. Try rolling it off as much as possible. Then WD again or goo gone. Goof off is very fumes but works gr8 as well. Probably more advice than you need.

There is a solution called UnDo that comes in a small prob 2 oz bottle that works on any surface, even photos, without damaging it.  Often it can be found in adhesive section, or the crafting/scrapbooking areas of you local Joann or Michaels.  I have used it for years because its fast.  Goo gone is ok but takes patience.  The other idea is soaking in hot soapy water.  Once the paper part of the sticker comes off, you can even use nail polish remover/acetone to remove the glue onCLEAR GLASS ONLY.  Use caution on other types of glass or china.

I use a hairdryer, heat the sticker and it will just peel off. I am a little impatient so I lift and edge and keep dryer on it while I peel, it peels with the adhesive.

Usually a HOT soapy water soak & scrub works, but occasionally there's the sticky residue that remains. I've always used the GooGone for the tough stuff. I'm glad to see some of these other suggestions though. Olive Oil? Blow Dryer? COOL!

Before you put it in water, spray with PAM (or equivalent non-stick spray).   Let it sit for a few minutes and then run it under hot water and it usually floats off with hardly any effort.  If it doesn't, help it with a 'scrubbie ' pad (used on non-stick frying pans).   A lot less smelly and cheaper than Goo Gone (although that is a great product).
