A Re Purposed Bar

An old Kitchen cabinet is my next project. Just in time for summer I'm thinking a fun wine bar.
My first step was removing the back panel. This was fake wood. Maybe even cardboard. My plan was to replace it with wood I had found Kicked to the Curb( garbage). I think it was a picnic bench in its previous life
Once I measured the width of the cabinet I cut each piece to fit. The boards had a beautiful weathered look that I wanted to keep. I very lightly sanded them to remove any splinters or jagged edges. A coat of polyurethane gives a nice finish. The boards were screwed to back of cabinet. The silver screws were placed in a pattern making them a decoration for the piece.
The cabinet itself was given a coat of high gloss blue paint. The two upper cabinets were done in Annie Sloan gray paint. All three shelfs were trimmed with mosaic tiles in gray ,blue ,cream and white. I think this gives it a beachy feel.

All the decorations inside cabinet except for the wine bottles were bought at Goodwill. Total Cost: $16.00
