Does anyone know a simple way to get a King size memory foam mattress into a smaller container?

I have not gotten one into a smaller container, but what I do, is roll it up as tight as possible, then use 2-3 old belts and cinch it as tightly as possible. I have one standing upright in the back of my clothes closet. Hope this helps!

In addition to the above suggestion, after you roll it up, place it in a large garbage bag, then insert a vacuum hose and suck out all of the air, which will compress the mattress pad even further. Quickly twist the bag closed and secure the end with a zip tie.

zittarcd has the right idea! I've done that and also have used bungy cords which work also.

I done it also with gate belts used by caregivers, found in usually any thrift store for $1 or $2. And a roll up and put in top of closet on garage rafters with 2 plastic bags over either end.
