How To Host A Baby Shower Series Part 1 (the Diaper Cake)

I hosted a baby shower for my sister-in-law. The first thing I needed was a centerpiece and I decided a diaper cake would be perfect. I started out with 150 size 1 diapers. I bought 3 cardboard cake circles from Michael's and glued two of them together. Next, I hot glued ribbon to the outside of the cardboard. I then cut a piece of twine the size of the cardboard base. My husband held the string while I started filling in the string with diapers. Once I felt it was full enough, I filled in the middle with diapers too. You repeat these steps on the next two layers with the exception of your twine circle being smaller. Next, you hot glue on your ribbon over the twine. I then cut a fabric cirlce and glued it to the top layer. I inserted two straws into the diapers on either side of the fabric and I tied two layers of string onto the straws. I printed out a bunting template (which you can find on the link to my blog) and glued them onto the string. That's it! Super Simple!
