Coleus, the Beautiful Annual Grown for Its Leaves

Coleus is a hardy annual that is grown for its colorful leaves. It does have flowers but they are fairly indiscriminate and I normally just cut them off when they appear, since this makes my plant get bushier.
The plant comes in so many varieties now. They take easily from cuttings dipped in rooting power, so I will often buy three or four and pretty much strip them down into dozens of cuttings. A few weeks later, all of my garden beds are growing the beauties.
They are easy to grow. Part sun is best with even moisture. Pinch the growing tips out to keep them busy and you will be set.
