I am new in home talk, just open my account earlier today and I find this web site very cool.

Just wanted to share my way of doing my own transition to save money. This is between carpet and tile. I bought 1 pcs of wood for 4 dollar, nail it down on the floor, stain it then put grouts on it. It really works..

I am still learning how to post picture and message.

I made this transition myself, you know to save money. I bought 4 dollar wood, nail it down, stain the wood and put grouts on it. It really works

    Hello everybody.. Thank you all

    And hi Patty

No! there is no tile in between. There is used to have a big gap between the tile floor and the carpet floor. Thats' the reason why I build my own transition because I will not be able to find that size anyway anywhere in the store. ...»

What happen was, this area used to be a wall and I literarily knock the wall down to have a new entrance door for my bathroom. And actually just move the door to the side, if I said move meaning, I reused the existing door and just tansfer it over. I needed a space for my laundry basket and clean towels. I will post some picture so you will see what I mean

    • Right side was the old entrance is now closed, the door you see is the new.
    • took picture through the mirror, so you can see, behind me was where the old door located. I think the door was put on a wrong side.

Thanks Lee Anne. No worries, I am almost there. And you know after taking your class made my decision of design and choices easier and work faster. You are truly a great teacher, I felt like I never get enough listening to your teaching. I learned so much from you and to my intersting fellow student. I am so glad that I took the class. Someone like you is rare to find now a days, who is dedicated and who never holds back to share all your knowledge of design to someone like me. It was worth it driving two hours just to be in your class.
