Plaid Crafts just released an awesome new line of FolkArt Milk Paint...so I wanted to try it out and see what I could make with some of the really cool, vibrant colors I saw.
I started with three 8x10 plaque boards from Michael's, along with thin strips of balsa wood and hot glue. I picked out my FolkArt Milk Paint colors and go to work....
First I used the balsa wood to create designs on the plaques and got glued the wood in place, HOWEVER if I were to do this again...I would instead use a ruler and draw my designs on, paint it, THEN add the wood.
Next I got started carefully painting with my FolkArt Milk Paint...which is AMAZING, but the way.
I painted my boards, then I got these cute little planters off of Amazon to hang on the them.
Using a small nail (the planters have a hole to hang them on in the back), I hung each planter from the nail on the board...so they're easy to take off and water and tend to.
I put them in my new sunroom on the shelf and they are very bright and unique!

To see all the steps and information on how to create these...visit my site! Thanks!
