Make Your Own Outdoor Umbrella Base for Cheaaap!

20 Minutes
Easy
Our summertime project is to completely overhaul the lawn/grass. I’m impatient and don’t want to wait until that project is complete to start on my own “stuff”. That being said, I don’t have an extra $700 lying around for the outdoor set (complete with a screened-in area) that I want. So while mom was in town, the two of us obsessed and DIY’d our way to a “brighter-looking” outdoor area starting with creating our own table umbrella base.
Our sad little naked patio table and chairs
Voila! Finished umbrella base.

Is this a deal or WHAT?!

Wow I was just wrestling with an umbrella yesterday that we were trying to use between two lounge chairs. The stand we had just doesn't cut it unless it's used with a table. The darned thing kept falling over at the slightest breeze. I think this will work fine. I was thinking of a taller planter pot since it will be used without a table. Summer is almost over, but I think I can get this done to be able to enjoy it all next summer. Thanks for the idea! Yours looks fantastic.
