Copper Paint Technique That is Fool Proof!

Medium
Here is a faux copper paint technique that is fool proof. The secret is using crumpled up brown paper bags! Paint a base color of either navy or dark green depending on wether you want it to look more weathered. Green for weathered, navy for newer. Then you are going to layer gold and copper paint on over top and remove it using the paper bags. You just push the bag into the paint and pull it off. Do more where you want more paint removed, push less where you want less paint removed. If you don't like how it is turning out just add paint where you like and remove it again. Once you have it like you like let it dry for a day and then seal with poly to bring out the depth of the colors and for durability.
