Fabric markers vs. paint markers

Hello! Wondering if anyone has ever tried using these permanent fabric markers on other surfaces. I am wondering if they will work somewhat to help me color in my lettering and stenciled designs on my wood art and/or chalk painted furniture. Thanks!

I don't know about fabric markers ,but sharpie makes a metallic marker that comes in silvers and golds and coppers that work great. I am a rural mail carrier and use them to mark black mailboxes that a regular marker would not show up on and they work great even lasting through long periods of weathering.

Fabric markers have a different consistency. I would look into Deco color wood paint markers instead.

Sharpie markers work well on wood, I put an exterior clear coat on mine for outside use.

I have never used fabric marker on wood . You could try on a scrap of wood . Wood markers are well worth the money.

Sharpies tend to bleed on wood, the more sanded and raw the wood is, the more bleeding. Experiment with some sealants prior to the final finish. Chalkboards vs. Chalk paints finishes vary also but not nearly as much as sanded wood.
