Ship Lap Walls Using Plywood Underpayment

by Tracy Miller Sheehan
We bought primed plywood underpayment and had Lowe's strip it to 6 inch strips.
We put a nickel in between the wood and nailed it to the studs.

And it works perfectly on walls as a shiplap type wall treatment. We used the same product because we didn't want to tear the walls out down to the studs. We covered over cheap textured badly painted paneling the flipper used to sell the house. So, Jim. you don't need to cop an attitude about how other people decorate their homes. You may have money laying around the house but most of us live on budgets and this is a beautiful wall with a lot less cost.
