Steph has been looking for some shelves in her office to hold supplies. We haven't used pipe or pallet wood before in a project so we thought shelves would be a great way to try both materials and get some cool shelves! Check out our website for the video on how this came together!

Materials

- Pallet (they come in different shapes and sizes- we used a pallet that had wood 5.5" wide)

- Sawzall (to cut pallet)

- (2) 3/4" Plumbing Pipe 6" length

- (2) 3/4" Flange

- (2) 3/4" Cap (we priced out each item separately and found it cheaper to buy them in a set on amazon. Same pipes you would buy from the hardware store but it came all together in one package)

- (16) Screws and anchors

We deconstructed a pallet.

We sanded the wood and used a spray finish to seal it.

We made rough marks of where we wanted the shelves.

We attached the flange to the wall and then screwed the pipe into that.

Then we placed the wood on the pipes and filled the shelves!

Do the boards just rest on the pipes, or can they get slightly tightened in/pinched by the screw-on caps? I live in earthquake country, so no bouncing boards for me, ha-ha...

Nicest looking pipe and wood shelves I've ever seen!! Thank you for sharing!! Did you have a stud to screw the pipe flange to on both ends? If not, did you use a "butterfly" molly bolt in the wall?
