Storm Damage, Broken Bow, NE

I took a short walk this morning, encompassing about eight city blocks, and here is a peek at damage sustained in our lovely little tree-loving community. We were relatively lucky, although the skyward view of a snapped tree caught in another tree is our personal challenge. A convention center under construction to the west of us is toothpick pile, a local cafe lost its awning and part of a roof and I know of at least one house that was stripped to rafters.

We were relatively lucky, but the community was hard hit. I suppose the silver lining of last year's miserable drought was that we missed, essentially, the summer storm season.

I agree you are safe and I hope every one in the village is, items can be replaced or repaired, people can't, there live is precious and although it is hard to loose things it is so much harder when it is a person, So I hope no lives have been lost.
