To Preen or Not to Preen-Is there a question?

Now that it's officially spring here in the Northeast we're getting tons of weeds. But I've been using Preen successfully for years. It's not meant to kill weeds but prevent them. I use it sparingly after the first use of the year. Does anyone have a successful schedule of using it apart from the directions on the container. Thanks everyone. www.homerepairtutor.com

Hopefully, you're using something to replace the microorganisms you killing off with this garbage. It kills weed seed, alright. It also does a number on the beneficial bacteria and any worms you have in your soil. I suggest you check out info on Bokashi or EM-1, both contain microorganisms that you can help to improve your soil's health. As an organic gardener with over 30 years experience, this stuff ROCKS! We have excellent soil, but this is one way to "super size" it. Our production almost doubled in the veggie garden and my roses love the stuff.
