Some of my Natural Stone Work

This fireplace is all Travertine. Started with 18's and cut in half then hand chistled the edges for a rustic natural look. the roof part and the coined corners are from volcano travertine. The moose i carved in with a 4" angle grinder and a diamond blade then dyed it with concrete dye. Whats cool about the whole thing you cant see. The mud work that lies beneath it all. Old school work...Not many even do it anymore. They (most builders) all want a blow n go quality thats why i started to focus on my concrete work.

Its hard enough to cut a straight line with an angle grinder..... Much less a freakin moose! I'm impressed, great job!

Beautifully done! As to whether we would like the fireplace with or without the moose, do we want the Mona Lisa with or without the smile? IT'S ART. Don't ask dumb questions!!

I like the fireplace, and appreciate the craftsmanship - but forget the moose.

I wouldn't complain a bit and we aren't in moose country! What wonderful skill and craftmanship. You must be really proud.
