Chippy

OH, I forgot my spring friend! He let me know he was out, and wanted some food.

It's hard to not to like a chipmunk, but they can sure be destructive in a garden.

Destructive is an understatement. I like them at a distance. I had a hosta garden at one time and it had been growing for 5 years. Perfect location the plants thrived and got really huge. Chipmunks got in there one summer and ate all the roots, killed all 12 plants in just one summer. That sort of left a bad taste in my mouth about chipmunks.

Oh he has taken a few of my plants out also. that's why I feed him at a distance. He is the only one I have seen here but that could be because of the dogs!
