Fresh flowers are ALWAYS the way to go! Lovely and simple! If you're lucky enough to pick up realistic looking blooms at a good price (start a year before the event) there's nothing wrong with "cheating"!! By that, I mean - using say, 2 faux roses with 1 real, depending on size of vase. No one will be the wiser! I do that many times with arrangements. I buy the very best faux flowers I can afford then insert real ones here and there - looks real and you can re-use the faux forever!! I have some gorgeous irises from 20 years ago. I add some real ones in a different color (or sometimes real tulips) and it looks lovely. I also add real branches to fill out a bouquet if it looks skimpy and again, that adds to the authentic look. :)

That is a fabulous idea Elaine. We are all for using all faux flowers on its own too. In times when prepping party decor and no time to prepare real flowers, there are some very realistic faux flowers available. Love the idea to mix them ;-)
