The best way to prevent and rid carpet discoloration at the carpets edge around baseboards is to vacuum with the hose

attachment regulary, and also scrub the area using house vinegar and water. a 50/50 mix will do. Do this quarterly and you will not have discoloration. OR, you may visit my website for this and more secrets to carpet cleaning. www.orangeguy.net
