How about a free in home design consultation? -
Home centers (Home Depot, Lowes, Ikea) and kitchen remodelers will all consult on kitchen design and offer free estimates. Avoid those that won't. -

I would go buy some remodeling magazines to develop your own ideas before going to a big box store. It will narrow down your choices once you are sitting in front of a kitchen designer. -
You can go online and get many free downloadable design programs and design your dream kitchen. Good luck.
