Straw Bale Gardening

Looking for a new way to make your garden more productive? Try straw bale gardening.
Here's how it works. Purchase straw bales (not hay) and condition them with water and fertilizer for two weeks. During the conditioning the inside of the bale starts to decompose. Plant seedlings directly into the bale. When the season is over cut the twine on the bale and you have more compost! Use straw bales, not hay bales.
Condition your bales with water and fertilizer for two weeks.
Plant directly into the bale after it is conditioned.
This works well with strawberries and peppers too!
Stick your tomato cage right into the bale.
Beautiful crop.
