My Boho Abode on a Budget

Hey Friends! It's been a while since I've been able to post anything. Many changes have happened in my life. Now that schools out and summer has started I'm home (perks of working at a school ; ) ) and eager to knock out some projects to share with you all. I have recently moved into what I'm calling my humble bohemian abode. I have downsized and I wanted to share with you what I have done so far. It's still coming along. Everything in my room I have shopped from my own home and....thrifted! Yes, thrifted or from flea markets and antique shops. I can't preach enough at the greatness of shopping at these places. You will be amazed at the things you find. I think my greatest find of all time is now hanging on my wall! A BIG BEAUTIFUL hand painted, acrylic one of a kind Botanical painting and it's ALL MINE! I scored it at the Goodwill for 30 bucks and as an artist myself knows all to well a blank canvas this large is much more. It's a huge painting and there is not a thing wrong with it. I debated on whether to paint the frame but in the end I kind of just wanted to leave it as it is. I love finding stuff I wouldn't see in somebody else's home. I thrive on originality when it comes to décor although I find inspiration everywhere Check out how I styled it below.
