Painted faux stacked stones over old wainscot - dark blue/black ceiling and faded the walls to a lighter shade near the top of the wainscot. Wide wood trim with lip to hide rope lights that encircled the room. The columns are foam that we distressed and stacked crooked like an ancient Roman amphitheater. The reclining chairs were bought for cheap from a medical supply company & re-purposed for theater chairs - each had it's own side tabletop attached for popcorn & drink. Black lights hidden from direct view - pointed up to UV white painted stars & clouds. 55' flat screen between columns. Surround sound ... We design theaters, but it is surprising what you can do yourself, when you get bold in an old room. James R. Hahn Productions -
