Hostas and Japanese Painted ferns fill the area which is 99% shade
75% shade with a couple hours of sun. As in nature, my beds do not reflect the stiffness of most gardeners~random and whimsy

What did you use for the border? It looks great.

The cheap plastic edging (it is so easy to use) and on the right side I needed more height to the black plastic edging so I also used the harder composite material to bring the edges
