Faux Board and Batten Tutorial
I stalked board and batten projects and tutorials for months before finally embarking on my own ... and my husband and I hung this using hammers and nails! We loved how it turned out and now have plans to add to our entire first floor. Oh, and I bought a nail gun. @HandyANDY - I fully understand your concerns and thanks for sharing. Truth is, my home is considered a tear down here in Chicago. The lot is worth more than the structure and it's easier for developers to pull permits for new construction where they can squeeze in a 4,000-5,000 square foot on my lot. Versus having to re-dig a basement deeper ... Plus we are going nowhere for a long, long time so I'm not worried ...
