Transplanting Day Lilies

So we're in the process of finally starting to redo the four already existing flower beds, three in front, one in back. Number 3, as I call this one, is the biggest and is just a mish-mash mess of plants right now, but I'm trying to get it organized. The old owners didn't much care for gardening, I don't think and everything was over grown with weeds when we moved in. We haven't had much chance to work on it the way we want because our son has special needs and the house need major repairs first.
But now we have more time to work on it and make it how we want. I still plan to to dig everything up and replant where I want them and add new plants, too. I also want to add a water feature and a new border, but for now, I'm just trying to make it as nice as I can while I get the back bed, #4 presentable.
Anyhoo. These lilies, one was buried all by its lonesome among a huge overgrown patch of weeds in the back and the other was neglected behind the Rose of Sharon (which resided in bed tangled with vines and wasn't getting much sun. I dug them up and turned over an unused patch of earth right in the front of bed mulched the grass and weeds that had started to grow back and planted them front and center with some year old potting mix. Yummy. And I'm going to lay some mulch down to hopefully cut down on the out of control weed growth. I cannot keep up with it.
The lilies should be happy in their new home!
Moving the old fabric the previous owners left away. There was nothing really here but re-growing weeds and 3 little square stepping stones. Started clearing the ground for the plants.
After I pulled away all the debris and old fabric and got the ground ready. You can see the little bundle of junk in the upper left corner right next to the deck.
My lilies have a new happier home now! Yeah I'm an amatuer, but whatever. It's a start. My other beds look better lol. I'm not in the habit of before and after pics and I'm a newb so...I'm making progress. :-)

Daylilies are pretty resilient plants, Kelley, and I'm sure they'll be much happier now.

I'll say! The one in the back actually had the top of the root ball exposed. For 2 years! And it still survived! It survived under 5 foot tall weeds that I just now managed to get to because we finally tore down old fencing and I didn't even know the poor thing was there. I felt so bad for it.
