My Almost Free Scrap Wood Art

The hubby and I teamed up again for another project, this time a large scrap wood wall art to go above our couch. While we didn't use pallets, the hubby used all left over wood from previous projects and then brought it home for me to paint. Pallets would have also worked great. It totally brought the room together and best of all, it was almost free! I am loving the Herringbone Design!
Our almost free Herringbone Scrap Wood Wall Art!!
The hubby built the wood hanging using scrap maple plywood.
I then painted it with a thin layer of white paint and used painter's tape to make a herringbone pattern. After I painted it and removed the tape, I distressed it with a sanding block.
Now it sits above our couch and looks amazing!!!

What does the back side look like?

@Abby Carrillo You can check out the original post on my site, but I used scrap pallet wood screwed in perpendicularly in the back to brace it in place. :)
