How to Bug Proof Garage Windows

We kept getting bugs in our garage windows. Instead of cleaning them every few months, we came up with this creative solution...
We started by removing our crappy paper shade.
We cleaned the window out thoroughly.
Attached a higher quality fabric shade.
Painted some strips of wood.
The wood got a thin bead of caulk and was nailed to the edge of the window well.
We used some double sided carpet tape and a window insulation kit to cover the window opening. The carpet tape was attached to the wooden strips.
We used a blow dryer to shrink the clear plastic to a nice tight finish.
The clear plastic lets in all the natural light and none of the bugs. Forget having to clean this... until the plastic ever quits.
It's undetectable from outside too.
