Should we use a soaker hose for our roses? Hot outside makes me think water when cooler, but then I forget.

Deborah, I saw my first one of these (pic 1) outside of a pharmacy..it took my breath away it is so beautiful. When I went inside I told the pharmacist how much I enjoyed this beautiful, unusual, to me, rose, he took his scissors , went outside and cut me one!! Hows that for service? Love it!

Wait until very early Spring (Northern California Spring weather), cut off 3 medium sized stems. Dip in Root-Tone and plant in planter, about 6 inches under soil. Cover with light-weight plastic (like cleaners' bags) but not too tight. Keep soil moist but not soggy. Put the pot in an area protected from wind but indirect bright light. By the end of summer, you will have your own blooms, I leave everything in pot until Fall or the following Spring and then replant in full-sun area. It's not that hard. Just don't let the stems dry out. One time I hacked off a large stem about 5 feet long, planted it as described and ended up with a wonderful tree rose! (I take 3 cuttings, because one or two usually die.)
