Natural Birdhouses

I make this using naturally weathered wood usually found in flood areas. They are fully functional with removable bottoms for cleanout and size perfect for the smaller songbirds of Pennsylvania. They look like the gnomes have created them for their feathered friends.

Thanks for the Welcome Becky,,,and the reminder of price. The functional ones start off @ $85 and the non-functional start @ $50. Each one is dated, numbered and signed.

Here's my example Debbie E,,,I attached a piece of wood to the thickness I wanted first,,,then siliconed it and placed my rocks. I love your creativity,,,looking forward to seeing the end result!!!

I love these, but I wish they were molded in resin. The squirrels down here absolutely destroy any wood house by chewing the entry hole big enough for themselves.

Too flipping cute! I totally understand the customers that don't let the birds have them.

Now that's an idea for me Ruth O,,,not to make them in resin because I love working with natural materials,,,but to make them bigger for the squirrels! I find them very humorous and love to sit and watch them! One of the projects on my board of things to do is to make a birdproof squirrel feeder. I'll post pics when I make one.

I have been working on it :) but have been putting in a floating floor in extra bedroom, I wish someone would have stopped me! My first and the house is 25 years old. Need I say more. Extra bedroom, I took carpet out a year ago because of visiting puppies, and just did not know what to do with it. Will keep you updated.

@CTN - IF you actually succeed in making a totally 100% fool proof, squirrel proof bird - WAIT - something's wrong somewhere!! I just re-read your comment and you said "birdproof squirrel feeder"!! IS THAT REALLY WHAT YOU MEANT?? My squirrels raid my bird feeders but no birds chasing the squirrels away. I wish they would!!!

Yes Susan,,,a birdproof squirrel feeder is what I meant. Keep it away from your birdfeeders so the squirrels have their own space to feed.

I have so many interests, especially when it cames to animals, wildlife, etc. I make sure too that I always have something for the squirrels. I love to see all the birds line up on our fence and wait their turn at the feeder. Getting ready to put up more.

Well, I have heard the analogy "IF YA CAN'T BEAT 'EM - JOIN 'EM!! I keep telling my husband we might as well buy corn for the squirrels so they'll let my birdfeeders alone!! If they're going to keep raiding the feeders, then it's six of one and half a dozen of the other - I'm still feeding them no matter how you slice it!!

Your birdhouses are a true work of art and I love the fairy/hobbit look! I think I'd have to use them as an accessory though!!
