DIY Minimal Canvas Art

3 Materials
Sometimes I just want something a little DIFFERENT when it comes to my walls. That's how I got the idea to flip a blank canvas over to the side that shows the raw wood. I think it turned out just like I wanted it to.
First, I already had a blank canvas on hand. My husband paints a little, he's pretty good at it! The canvas was the kind that is stapled on the back and stretched around raw wood. I am loving the raw wood trend and I've embraced it in a few places in our home.
Next I printed these FREE printable mountains. Cut them out, flipped my canvas over to the exposed wood side and Mod Podged them onto the canvas above and below the wood line. This makes it look sort of like a reflection.
I then hung it up on our hallway with a simple finishing nail. I think it just feels so peaceful and I love looking at it at night on my way to bed.
There's nothing better to me than DIY art. I have a personal connection to it, like I sometimes don't get from off-the-shelf mass produced art. Have you been DIY’ing any art for your home?
