I have a natural oak table and chair and I want to change them to a black oak look. How do I do this?

Use a stain as Minwax. Strip the existing finish if there is one,clean.stain and seal with a non-yellowing sealer.

Look at a color called "Antique Walnut"...it is very dark but lets the wood grain show through!

As above strip off the finish and restain in darker color of your choice. I'm not sure you have to go down to bare wood since your going darker. But you will still have to break that top coat sealer down to penetrate the wood.
