I am sitting here laughing at myself. Seeing the thumbnails, I'm saying to myself, "Boy! Does the 4th photo really have depth!!" Then, I went through the pictures and discovered the depth was the stencil laying on top of the table. Too funny! Your table turned out to be a very attractive asset!

@Becky H, you are too funny! I can see how the pic can be misleading though.

Table turned out cute, but why on earth would you paint such a nice table?

I like the stenciling on this. I am still having trouble getting used to the dis-stessed look on all the painted furniture now days. When my pieces look dis-stressed, is when I get out the paint and give it a fresh coat of paint.

To all who asked, this is not a new table but not an antique either. The top of it was very scratched and it was just sitting in the basement so I decided to paint it for a touch of color in my family room.

LOL. I used no bad words. But the acronym was obviously enough for you to remove it! LOL. And that's exactly what i thought, so i typed it. Free speech + PUBLIC social mediums = you aren't always going to get the answers/replies you were hoping for. Sorry!

Nothing was removed by me. Not every one likes the same thing, that's ok.

I liked your little table. Stencils are amazing. I remember the days when you really couldn't find stencils and had to do it all free hand, or if you could find stencils they were cost prohibitive. I never really had a favorite color, just favorite hues of particular colors. I once painted my tiny guest bathroom teal and my cousin and i worked for a week painting flamingos all with different expressions and poses. Sounds a little over the too but it actually turned out so well. When I sold my little condo the realtor begged me to paint it white. I didn't. It was on the market for three days. The person that bought it said it had a wonderful ecclectic personality. So if you have a creative flare- enjoy it. When you walk into a room on a gloomy day and look at something you saved, created, restored or whatever, it gives you a happy little boost. If someone else doesn't get it don't worry. If it makes you happy go for it!

Looks great, don't get why some people criticize painted furniture. The Egyptians started it and the French popularized it back in the 17th Century. Early Americans also painted their furniture, the idea of people always having drab rooms, lacking color in their furniture is so false. Perhaps your table will still be around in 100 years or so and will be prized as an early 21stC piece of revitalized folk art :)
