A Labour of Love

Hi, this is a piece that was headed to the dump for sure. Please understand that I couldn't stand it! So out came the paint!
Could she be saved? Would someone love her? It took a long time to finish, but i loved how she turned out, she found a new home in no time and is much loved! I miss her! She was an oldie but a goodie with a great sound!
With paint brush in hand, Kilz, white paint, a sander, paste wax and a lot of patience, sweat and tears, she was completed in a few weeks, a true labour of love.
She is finished and ready for a new home!
Here she is before, I cleaned her up looked her over decided she needed some new clothes!
She is lovely, but was not loved much.
During, the process of undercoat with kilz primer.
All done, waxed to a new glow, and she is a little mini charmer.

@Kat=^.^= I definitely would no have done that. It looks shabby. I would have polished up with beeswax or even had it French polished.

It is sweet and a lovely cozy room piece now. You did a great job and rescued a piano that is newly loved. Don't mind Lilian, she wasn't there to rescue it and no one wants and big old upright black piano taking up room, now it will blend in beautifully. Well done, Kat.
