I need a craft for 50 small prescription bottles...any ideas?

Spray paint the lids different colors and use them to sort and store bobby pins,  barretts, etc.  Label the top of the lids.  Keeps you organized and drawers neater. Bonus: great for travel.

Depending on how big your scrip bottles are...find crafts that use whole corks - if the bottles aren't much bigger (they are the same shape) maybe you could utilize bottles for corks. I was thinking wreath but look on Pinterest for the cork projects and see. Good luck!

Art project- use a thin wood board . I would first lay out bottles to get size of wood. With E6000 glue bottles on board some horizontal some vertical some glued on bottom facing out. Work on pattern then glue can also use tops as part of design . Make sure you have different levels or place squares some vertical some horizontal. Let dry 2 days. Then spray with  white paint for plastic can also do part white and black. Cover ares if you use 2 colors. Looks like an art piece by Louis Nevelson only she used wood. Look her up if you don't know her work. If you go to drug store some times they will give you bottles of different sizes or ask friends for their bottles. Easy  have fun.

We like to carry condiments on vacation, so putting mustard, ketchup, mayo, sugar etc.  in these would be great because you could just discard them when emptied.  Bigger ones could be used for tea bags, sugar packs.  Also toiletries could be stored in them too so you don't have to take a big bottle of hair gel, lotion, etc.

You can use the bottles to make emergency sewing kits by filling with needles, thread, tiny manicure scissors, etc.  You can also use the bottles to make emergency first aid kit by filling with a band aid, ointment, piece of gauze, etc.  You can use the bottles for storing beads.

Insert small strips of paper with prayer suggestions for the day. The Homeless. Husband. our Government. School Children. Their bus drivers. Abused people.

Firemen, Police. Military service men etc. Put 30 in a decorated bottle and give to everyone.

If you want to do individual crafts , you could glue three together pour plaster of in the bottom of all of them maybe a inch of liquid plaster in each add a small stem flower before it is dry (which is very fast ) add a ribbon and give away for valentines day. use heart paper to cover the brown bottles or leave as is.

We always have a ton of these and I have wondered the same thing, what in the world can I do with them. Hubby has some in the shop for sorting small items, I use them in the office for push pins, rubber bands, etc. and in the bathroom for bobby pins, kids hair items, etc. I also have emergency kits in our travel bags and vehicles, both first aid and sewing. Glad to see these ideas because they jogged some of my own ideas since we usually save a couple and then after removing the labels recycle them. From one of the ideas above about the pharmacy I thought our little small town pharmacy might like a wreath made with some of them in place of flowers and greenery. And the idea of giving the emergency kits to the homeless is a great idea as well as the sewing kit. Operation Christmas Child, a ministry of the Graham's, could use these too. At Christmas you pack a shoe box for all ages of kids from 2 up into teenagers and then sent to the ministry to ship all over the world. I love watching the videos of the children receiving these boxes. One of my FB friends that is a quilter got sewing kits together to donate to the boxes for older girls. Just a great idea with small scissors, buttons, needles, etc and even some small pieces of fabric. So that would also be a perfect thing to do throughout the year with all those bottles, slowly make up sewing kits by buying a few items a paycheck. Thanks for the great question, sparked lots of ideas for many!! Kind of makes ya look at that lowly medicine bottle a little differently!! LOL

This isn't a craft, but another option is donating them. A charity called Matthew 25 Ministries accepts donations of clean, empty pill bottles. They're sent to clinics in Africa, where pill bottles are scarce and patients are often given their prescriptions in pieces of folded-up paper.
