Pallet Mailbox

My mailbox kept getting hit by family and friends of a neighbor when they pulled out of his driveway across from me. Not sure why...its didnt stick out into the road. I thought what can i do to maybe make it more noticable. I was out back looking at my pile of pallets and thought...i can make me one from the pallet scrapes. This is what i came up with...hopefully now they will see it.
I had this one section of a pallet that I have cut off a larger pallet. I made the box part and attached it to the bottom to hold a plant in the summer and I have a beautiful large rock to put on it in the winter. Added a small solar light after I took this picture to the little ledge part to light up the post...Glued a small mason jar with a walmart solar light in it...
